Henbane is a traditional ingredient in flying ointments and a well known poisonpath ally of the witch.

This plant is extremely poisonous and ingestion can be fatal, may cause contact dermatitis, do not take internally.

Sow in spring or late winter, long germination time. have patience. Likes a cold start.

Sandy, well-drained soil in an open sunny position. Frost resistant but drought tender.

Annual in most parts of Australia.

0.5m to 1.2m depending on it's mood.
